General pricing
The pricing of transcription is done by audio minutes. Audio minutes refers to the length of the audio file you send me. This is a very common way of pricing transcription, as it means that you can more reliably calculate your costs upfront, without having to worry about how long the project will take me.

Difficulty Levels
The level of difficulty for an audio file is based on the legibility of the audio and the number of speakers. The legibility can be affected by many factors including background noise, accents, volume, crosstalk between the speakers, and other problems with the file.
- Level 1: 1-2 speakers, no background noise, accents, or faint speakers
- Level 2: 3-4 or moderate background noise, moderate accents, some unintelligibility of speakers.
- Level 3: 5+ speakers, focus groups, high background noise, difficult accents, lots of crosstalk, and unintelligibility.
Turnaround time
Turnaround time is based on submission time. For a 1-day turnaround, if you submit a file before 5:00 pm (PST) that day, the order will be completed by 5:00 pm the following business day. If it is submitted after 5:00 pm, then it will be completed by 5:00 pm the business day after that.
Other services
I can provide additional services such as timestamps, special formatting, or uploading directly to your website or YouTube, for a small additional fee to be determined at the time of agreement based on the work to be done.
